4TH ANNUAL EVENT RETURNED TO ADRIAN COLLEGE ON SATURDAY, MARCH 19th - WHITE TEAM DEFEATS THE BLUE TEAM 10-6
The White Team defeated the Blue Team 10-6 in the 4th Annual All-Star Game at Arrington Arena in Adrian, MI. 1st Star-of-the-Game Brock Heinauer (Duquesne) and 3rd Star-of-the-Game Colin Hekle (Arizona State) paced the way with two goals apiece. Justin Thomas (Pittsburgh), Justin King (Oklahoma), Tim O'Brien (Penn State), Tom Ciaverilla (Adrian), Gary Astalos (Eastern Michigan), and Michael Schultz (Ohio) scored the other 6 goals for the White Team. Thomas dished out 3 assists, while Geoff Abrahams (John Carroll) and Tyler Bowman (Lindenwood) each had a pair of assists.
Leading the way for the Blue Team was the 2nd Star-of-the-Game Gehrett Sargis (Robert Morris Illinois) with 2 goals and an assist. Steve Balint (Lindenwood), Brad Surdam (Lebanon Valley), Brit Ouellette (Davenport), and Brian Slugocki (Arizona) tallied the other goals for the Blue Team. Jacob DeSano (Oakland) distributed 3 assists.
Dan Venet (Robert Morris Illinois) got the win for the White Team in relief of Matt Anderson (Adrian). Venet allowed 4 goals on 24 shots, while Anderson allowed 2 goals on 17 shots. Mark Schacker (Arizona State) took the loss for the Blue Team in relief of Erik Hudson (Iowa State). Schacker allowed 5 goals on 26 shots while Hudson posted 19 saves on 24 shots.

The 4th Annual American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division 1 All-Star Game is set to take place at the Arrington Ice Arena, on the campus of Adrian College, in Adrian, MI on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
40 of the top Men's Division 1 players will converge on Michigan for this event.
The game is geared to highlight and attract the best ACHA Division 1 players and showcase their talents on the ice while representing their individual schools in competition. The first two all-star games were a tremendous success and have created a solid foundation to build a lasting tradition. The AdrianCollege community is thrilled to host such an event and is anxiously looking forward to putting on a great show.
